Tide of Talons is the debut novel from Jack R. Rogers.

The author lives in Norfolk with his family, a location which provided much inspiration for the tale. The rolling marshland, tempestuous tides and ancient woodlands are home to a great breadth of folklore, which made a strong impression and has a considerable influence on the adventure of Tide of Talons, and the world in which it is set.

Jack grew up enjoying the works of Terry Pratchett, Douglas Adams and Tolkein, before moving on to immerse himself in the worlds created and characters created by Scott Lynch, Patrick Rothfuss and Peter V Brett, among many more. 
 

Tide of Talons was a long time coming, but writing eventually started in 2020, with a 2026 publication date finally materialising. 

While AI has its place in certain parts of life, it is the author's belief that it has no part to play in the generation of original works of literature, and no AI has been used in creating the story of Tide of Talons.
